VIEGA PROPRESS
Viega ProPress is a press-connection system developed by Viega, a German manufacturer founded in 1899 and headquartered in Attendorn, Germany. The ProPress line is designed for joining copper, stainless steel, and carbon steel piping in commercial and industrial applications without the need for soldering, threading, or flanging. The system uses a cold-pressing process with a specialized tool to create a permanent, leak-tight joint. 3G Electric supplies a range of Viega ProPress valves and accessories, including butterfly valves, check valves, balancing valves, and ball valves, all engineered for use in hydronic heating, cooling, plumbing, and process piping systems. The butterfly valves in the catalog are ductile iron general-service units with concentric design, lug-style connections, and EPDM seals, rated to 200 psi CWP, available in 3-inch and 4-inch sizes with 316 stainless steel discs and lever handles. The check valves are lead-free bronze poppet-type inline valves with stainless steel poppets, sized at 3/4 inch, using press x press connections. The manual balancing valves are brass-bodied units with a flow range of 0.98 to 2.35 gpm and ±3% accuracy, designed for precise flow regulation in hydronic systems. The ball valves are manual two-way full-port units in brass/bronze, available in sizes from 1/2 inch to 1 1/4 inch, with straight bodies and press x press or press x FNPT connections, featuring lever handles. All Viega ProPress products supplied by 3G Electric are compatible with standard Viega pressing tools and jaws, and the press connections eliminate open flames and reduce installation time. The system is suitable for applications requiring reliable joints in tight spaces or where hot work permits are impractical. 3G Electric stocks these items for global shipment, supporting maintenance and engineering teams with components that meet common industrial pressure and temperature requirements.
