Cut the tubing square, push it firmly onto the barbed end until fully seated, and secure with a hose clamp if needed. For the threaded end, apply PTFE tape to the male threads and tighten into the female port by hand plus a quarter turn with a wrench. Avoid overtightening HDPE fittings.
